For over 12 years Blue Wolf has performed annual condenser tube cleaning for Wateford 3 (WF3). Project scope includes opening and closing of all manways and hatches, hydrolazing or projectile tube cleaning, followed by helium leak detection services to verify tube performance conditions are within customer limits. In the event leaking tubes are discovered, Blue Wolf performs mechanical tube plugging.
Blue Wolf was contracted by Wood Group as a single source provider for engineering and execution of pigging, gas line air blows, hydro-testing and pipe drying services for the Duke Energy Lincoln Turbine Station expansion project.
A new coal fired power plant was being built. The EPC reached out to RIG to perform the chemical cleaning of the boiler and pre-boiler piping systems and impulse steam blows and prepare the plant to come online.
Blue Wolf was contacted to maintenance the coal fired boiler including chemical cleaning of the boiler and impulse steam blows.
Woodville Power Project – chemical cleaning on the boiler, hydrolazing of the BFW, condenser and steam piping. This project also included impulse steam blows.
The Gainesville Renewable Energy Center Biomass project reached out to Blue Wolf for a chemical cleaning on the boiler and steam blows to improve operations.
For over 5 years Blue Wolf is proud to be the single source provider for NextEra for condenser and heat exchanger cleaning at all NextEra Nuclear facilities. The work encompasses providing automated tooling to perform hydrolazing at each of these facilities. Blue Wolf has performed the work during this period without a single OSHA incident.
Blue Wolf performed JRB scrubber cleaning at Plant Bowen to removal scale buildup from approximately 4,700 tubes, each 6”x17’ made of PVC. Blue Wolf is the only company that has successfully performed tube cleaning without tube erosion-as a result of proprietary cleaning equipment designed in conjunction with Southern Company. The work activities also include hydroblasting and vacuuming the sump of the JBR scrubbers.
Blue Wolf’s Team was contracted by McDermott as a single source vendor to engineer and execute degreasing, gas line air blows, hydrolazing, steam blows, pigging and High Velocity Oil Flushing (HVOF) for the Montgomery Energy Center’s new 2 X 1 combined cycle plant.
Blue Wolf was contracted in Q1 2020 to provide engineering and execution of hydrotesting and High Velocity Oil Flushing (HVOF) of six hydraulic systems during pre-commissioning of the facility. Testing included pressures up to 7500 PSI of all installed piping followed by HVOF to meet OEM cleanliness specifications.
